Green Ceramic Nopal Heart Wall Decor, State of Mexico

The Green Ceramic Nopal Heart from Olvera Candle Shop merges the Sacred Heart form with the nopal cactus, one of the most recognizable motifs in Mexican folk art. Shaped as a heart and finished in a soft green tone with small terracotta-colored clay flowers at the top, the piece features incised cactus pad lines and slender metal thorns across its surface, along with a small metal loop for hanging.

Made in State of Mexico, so no two examples are exactly alike. Small variations in color, surface texture, and detail are natural characteristics of clay and make every piece one of a kind.

Measuring approximately 7.5 inches (20 cm) in height, the heart works well as a focal point on a gallery wall grouped with framed prints and photos, or displayed on its own above a console, shelf, or hook where its sculptural texture can be appreciated up close. Its earthy green palette and clay finish sit comfortably alongside neutral wall colors, wood furniture, and other ceramic or woven accents. It also works as a gift for those drawn to Mexican folk art.
